According to VGC, former Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan has revealed his new game, The Legend of California, developed by his new studio Kintsugiyama. The open-world online FPS is set during a fictional Gold Rush on an island shaped like California. The game focuses on multiplayer survival with exploration, crafting, ranch building, and optional PvP. Each server will feature procedurally generated islands where landmarks stay familiar but many locations change depending on the map seed and tier difficulty. The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam with playtests planned in the future.
