CD Projekt Red is bringing Geralt’s first adventure back — rebuilt from scratch for modern hardware and new players.
🛠️ What we know so far:
• Developed by Fool’s Theory (made up of Witcher veterans), with CD Projekt Red supervising
• Rebuilt entirely in Unreal Engine 5
• Fully open-world — no more segmented chapter zones
• Combat, movement, and core gameplay systems are being completely overhauled
• The original story stays intact, but will be modernized and easier for newcomers to jump into
📅 When can we play it?
There’s no release date yet, but it’s expected after The Witcher 4 — meaning 2028 or later is the likely window.
Geralt’s very first journey is getting the AAA remake treatment… and this time, the Path will be fully open.
